You must register for the test using the form below or on Canvas (Titan Space)
Transcripts
- Make sure you have a signed Release of Information form on file in counseling
- Request transcripts through Parchment at parchment.com
- Parchment
- Individual school – select the SCHOOL name
- Common application – select COMMON APP – you only need to request this one time (this will be sent to every school on your Common App)
- Allow 2 weeks for processing when requesting transcripts
- For applications due prior to Feb. 1st transcript requests must be made by Dec. 1st
- MID YEAR GRADES – request on Parchment after Semester 1
Applying to a 4 Year School
- Complete the college application/Common App
***Invite your counselor under FERPA/Recommenders on Common App***
- Request your HV transcript (in parchment) – according to the application you are using
- Request you VWCC transcript (on the VWCC website)
- You only need to do this if you have taken dual enrollment courses
- Send your SAT or ACT scores to the individual schools through College Board
- Complete the FASFA (https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa)
Applying to Virginia Western Community College
- Complete the college application
- Request your HV transcript (parchment)
- Complete the FAFSA (https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa)
- Check out the CCAP Program at www.virginiawestern.edu/ccap/
Scholarship Information
- Check HVHS Counseling on Blackboard for Scholarships
- Listen to morning announcements for important dates
- Request a transcript online using the Scholarship Transcript link on Blackboard
- All transcripts must be picked up in person from counseling
- Remember to check Blackboard often for important dates and information
