National History Club & Scholar Society

The National History Scholars Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding secondary students with a love for history.  Membership in NHSS is a prestigious achievement, requiring enrollment in advanced history courses, a 3.0 overall GPA, and a 3.5 Social Studies GPA.

The National History Scholars Society is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Juniors and Seniors are invited to apply. Additional information about requirements as well as the application form can be found at Mrs. Winterer's room (224) or on the HVHS club page. Applications are due by January 30th and require counselor verification of courses and grades so please plan ahead. Members who joined last year DO NOT need to reapply this year.
